Ascites Production / Purification
- Cells can be supplied to us frozen or as growing cultures. Cells are expanded, harvested, counted, washed in serum-free medium, and resuspended at the appropriate density. Pristane-primed animals are inoculated and then monitored daily for ascites production. Promptly following collection, ascites are centrifuged and frozen. Upon the completion of the production run, the harvests are pooled, thawed and reclarified. A sample of ascites is removed and assesed for antibody titer
